Required Classes

Tucson Association Classes for Membership

Once you pay your fees and are issued your membership numbers you become a provisional member.  The provision requirements are to attend the New Member Orientation Class and complete a REQUIRED NAR approved Ethics Class within 90 days for a REALTOR® and 30 day for those joining a broker

Your Member Services team will schedule your class on first availability from you date of membership.  You may take your Ethics class online at no charge on the National Association of REALTORS®.  If you have completed another NAR approved Ethics class you may submit to Education@tucsonrealtors.org for review. Once these requirements are completed you will be presented to the TAR Board of Directors to become an active member.

Note: Failure to satisfy the NAR COE education requirement for ethics and attendance at the  New Member Orientation Class within 90 days (Designated REALTORS® must attend within 30 days) of the date of application will result in denial of the membership application and termination of provisional membership together with the forfeiture of the application fee. A reapplication for membership shall require payment of a new application fee.


Arizona Department of Real Estate (ADRE)

ADRE License Renewal Requirements

Real Estate licenses and renewals are issued for a two (2) year period. The Arizona Department of Real Estate mandates the completion of 24 hours of ADRE-approved continuing education courses every 24-months. 

Continuing Education Requirements

Complete these 24 hours every two (2) years 

•  3 hours Agency Law
•  3 hours Commissioner’s Standards
•  3 hours Contract Law
•  3 hours Disclosure
•  3 hours Fair Housing
•  3 hours Real Estate Legal Issues
•  6 hours General*

*You may use any of the required categories for General CE credit without duplicating the same course.

Code of Ethics Training


REQUIRED

Each member is responsible for meeting the National Association of REALTORS® requirements for completing Ethical Standards classes. One class must be completed every 3-year cycle. If you are unclear of what cycle you are in and when you must complete the next class, please email education@tucsonrealtors.org.

The Code of Ethics with CE course is provided in person at Tucson Association of REALTORS®,
2445 N. Tucson Blvd., Tucson, AZ every 2nd Tuesday, 9am – 12pm.

January 9th *  February 13th * March 12th * April 9th *  May 14th * June 11th *  July 9th   
August, 13th *  September 10th *  October 8th * November 12th *  December 10th.
