EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

NAR & T.A.R. REQUIREMENTS FOR MEMBERSHIP

Each member is responsible for meeting the National Association of REALTORS® requirements for completing both a
Code of Ethics and Fair Housing training every three years.

Both the Code of Ethics (COE) and Fair Housing (FAIRH) requirements run along the same three-year cycle.

  • Cycle 8 (current cycle): January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2027
  • Cycle 9 (future cycle): January 1, 2028 – December 31, 2030.

CODE OF ETHICS (COE)

NAR provides an online course to complete the COE requirements at NO COST to members. To find the NAR COE course, click the button below. Please note that you must be an NAR member to access the training at no cost, and this does not provide Continuing Education (CE) credit.

T.A.R. provides CE courses that also fulfill the NAR COE requirement. To find an upcoming class that satisfies the COE requirement, please click the button below to view our Calendar. Use keywords “Code of Ethics” or “COE” to find upcoming classes meeting NAR’s criteria.

FAIR HOUSING (FAIRH)

Arizona is unique in that Fair Housing is already a state requirement for your License Renewal. Because not every state requires Fair Housing as part of their Continuing Education (CE) requirements, NAR has made completing Fair Housing training a membership requirement.

NAR provides an online simulation to complete the FAIRH requirements at NO COST to members called “Fair Haven”. To find the NAR Fair Haven simulation, click the button below. Please note, you must be an NAR member to access the training at no cost; and, this simulation does not provide Continuing Education (CE) credit.

T.A.R. provides CE courses that also fulfill the NAR FAIRH requirement. To find an upcoming class that satisfies the FAIRH requirement AND provides you with Fair Housing CE credit, please click the button below to view our Calendar. Use keywords “Fair Housing” or “FAIRH” to find upcoming classes meeting both ADRE and NAR criteria.
