How to get involved with Advocacy!

Join a committee

  • Home and Property Advocates: Home and Property Advocates Committee (HPAC) is a member-driven committee engaged in proactively collaborating with elected officials and key government staff on a variety of public policy issues that impact the real estate industry. Each month, members hear directly from the policymakers whose decisions shape our region and affect your business. The HPAC also provides oversight of the Association’s political action and fundraising activities. HPA meets on the 1st Thursday of the month at 10AM.

  • RAPAC Committee: The RAPAC Committee works year-round to protect the real estate industry and keep the REALTOR® voice strong. We bring members together through fun, meaningful activities that build connections and raise support for RAPAC. Every dollar raised helps ensure REALTORS® have a powerful voice at the local, state, and national levels. If you’re passionate about advocacy and want to make a difference while having fun, join us! The RAPAC Committee meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 2p.

  • ETF: The Elections Task Force (ETF) is responsible for guiding TAR’s candidate endorsement process. Through a thoughtful and balanced review, the ETF identifies candidates who best align with REALTOR® priorities and the protection of private property rights. With members representing a range of political perspectives, the ETF ensures a fair, transparent, and nonpartisan process. The task force meets on an as-needed basis during election cycles.
