Risk Tip of the Week:
Personal Property Tax on Rental Property
The
obligation and burden for personal property tax on
appliances and furnishings used in residential rental
property in Arizona is perhaps not widely known or
understood among most real estate agents. If you are
involved in selling or buying - or representing those that
are, this information should be of great interest to you.
Don’t wait until the County Sheriff comes knocking on your
door to seize and sell sufficient personal property to pay
the past due taxes, the 16% per annum interest, and cost of
the sale.
