We Want Your Input!
In
September of 2008, the Tucson Association of
REALTORS® conducted a baseline member satisfaction
survey in order for us to gauge your overall
opinions of the Association and the services we
provide to our members. The feedback we
received was valuable in our efforts to identify
areas that needed to be addressed and in determining
future service offerings. We will launch a follow up
member satisfaction survey in the first week of
October to once again gauge your opinions and we ask
that you take a few moments to complete the survey.
Depending on the complexity of your answers, the
survey should take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to
complete and the feedback you provide us is
invaluable in our efforts to ensure we are
satisfactorily serving our members.

Be Aware When Visiting Listings!
MLS has learned that two more agents have been approached by
Sheriff's deputies with guns drawn. It appears that
due to the rise in vandalism and theft to vacant
properties, law enforcement officers and area
residents are very sensitive to any activity at
vacant homes. Try to visit listings during daylight
hours, notify neighbors when possible, and be
prepared to clearly identify yourself if needed.
Follow any instructions given and advise your
clients to do the same.
MLS Rules and Regulations Update The re-write of the MLS Rules and
Regulations is complete, and has been approved by
NAR and the MLS Board. The format is easier to read,
includes a table of contents, and the section
numbers correspond to the section numbers in the NAR
Guidelines. Specific changes are outlined in the
document attached to this message. To view or print
the rules go to:
http://www.tucsonrealtors.org/documents/tarmlsrulesregs.pdf
MLS Vendor Review The MLS Board has been evaluating MLS
system providers in compliance with MLS policy
that requires vendor review every three years. While
no decision has been made to switch from
Rapattoni, it has become clear that there are
systems that warrant a closer look. The two systems
we are continuing to evaluate are Tarasoft and
FlexMLS. As part of the review process, these
two vendors will be present at the REALTOR® Expo
on September 17th at the TCC for
members to look at the systems and ask questions. We
will also provide a web link to the systems as well.
This is only a preview; depending upon what
is decided, we may call the vendors back to Tucson
for a longer stay in our conference center.
Re-List Fee Increase
The Withdrawn/Released Listings
will now be billed at $30 each, effective September
1, 2009. This is an increase from the current
price of $15 each.
Access To Arizona Foreclosure Information!
MLS has entered into an agreement with RealtyTrac that will allow Tucson MLS members to access foreclosure information for the state of Arizona for a discounted rate of only $19.95 per month. There is no minimum term required to sign up. The links to register for this service are located in the MLS under the ‘links’ tab, and there is also a button on the tucsonrealtors.org website.
