Seeking Qualified Members to Fill AAR Director Vacancy
The Association is seeking qualified members who may be interested in filling an AAR Director vacancy. The term is the remainder of 2009 through 2010. Candidates shall be REALTOR® Members who have served at least a one-year term as an Officer or Director of the Association or shall have served or are serving as Chairperson of a Committee or Task Force of the Association, the AAR, or the state or local chapters of an Institute, Society and/or Council of the NAR. The Nominating Committee will make a recommendation to the Association President. If you meet the qualifications and are interested in serving TAR as an AAR Director or would like additional information regarding the vacancy, please submit your interest/questions to Cheri at cheri@tucsonrealtors.org.

Industrial Rail in Southern Arizona: Opportunities for the Future

The Urban Land Institute’s Spring Program will focus on industrial rail in Southern Arizona its impact on growth and economic development. The event will include the following speakers: Luis Heredia, Director of Public Affairs with Union Pacific Railroad; Alan Levin, owner of the Port of Tucson at the Century Park Research Center, a privately-owned intermodal facility; Al Altuna, Senior Project Manager with TREO, who is working on economic development activities for the Inland Port imitative Bill Kelley of Diamond Ventures, who worked on the Target Fulfillment Center and Carla Blackwell with Pima County Development Services and the Shovel Ready program.
