number of days that a property has been on the
market without a 30 day break regardless of any
change of agent or brokerage'. This information will
be displayed on the grid view, Agent Detail Report,
and CMA. Where DOM was displayed on those reports,

MLS Area Boundaries Revision
A subcommittee has been formed to address the MLS map
and boundaries. As the county continues to grow and more
subdivisions are added, it has become necessary to look
at the area boundaries and implement a system that not
only works today, but will be valid as we continue to
grow. If you have inputs on this issue, please forward
them to John Mijac-
john@mijac.info or Brian Case-
brian@tucsonrealtors.org We will update on the
progress of the subcommittee when appropriate.
REALTOR® Only MLS Coming Soon
As part of our continuing effort to improve the quality and
integrity of our MLS, the Multiple Listing Service Board of
Directors has voted that effective July 1st 2008, MLS
members must be REALTORS®. This ensures that everyone in the
Tucson MLS is held accountable to the REALTOR® Code of
Ethics and may be subject to arbitration and due process as
outlined by the National Association of REALTORS®.
This means that brokers, agents, and appraisers who are
currently ‘MLS Only’ members with no REALTOR® association
affiliation will need to join a local REALTOR® association.
This DOES NOT mean that appraisers have to become licensed
real estate agents. It only means that they need to join a
REALTOR® association.
New Forms Approved
The Association Board of Directors approved a
Listing Contract Checklist and
Sale Contract Checklist. The Checklists are
forms created by the TAR Forms Committee to assist
Brokers/Office Managers in file management. These
forms are for internal company use only and are not
intended to replace a checklist you may already be
using.

Risk Tip Of the Week:
Did you read the New Home
Builder contract?
Your clients are
planning to look at model homes built by a new home builder
and you know that you need to be there on the first visit to
register them. You spend days showing all of the new home
sites to your buyers trying to find the right one that fits
their lifestyle. Once a home is selected and a decision is
made to purchase, we go see the site sales Agent. This is
the point where our services and expertise becomes
invaluable.
