TAR's New Logo Unveiled
Next Week! Look for our new logo in next week's Weekly-E-Update!
Happy Holidays from TAR!
The Tucson Association of REALTORS® will be closed on
Tuesday, January 1 for the Holiday.
MLS Store Closed on 12/31
The MLS Store will be closed on Monday, December 31 for
inventory. The Store will re-open on Wednesday, January 2.
Get Involved at TAR!
Help shape the future of your
profession and your Association by volunteering on a TAR
committee! Committee members
need to commit to one 90-minute meeting per month and,
perhaps, other activities if your time allows. However, some
committees may only meet occasionally on an "as needed"
basis.

for more information!
TAR Is Looking for Leaders!
TAR
is looking for people
who want to lead the organization and industry into the
future. As a part of this effort the Association is
sponsoring a “Pathways to Participate and Lead”
program. The program meets once a month and
participants learn about
Association leadership with topics ranging from “Working
with the Media” to “Current Industry Trends and
Issues”. Participants will then work through current
challenges and provide solutions for industry issues.

Risk Tip: Don’t
Pooh-Pooh a Drain Inspection!
Scenario: A
buyer’s agent shows a new construction home with a large tree in
the front yard. A contract ensues. The physical inspection
reveals that the tree may cause problems in the future with the
sewer lines and drain pipes. Because of the relatively new
construction of the home nothing further happens and the parties
involved determine it will be a long time before any potential
problem would arise.

Armory Park
Historic District-Note City Ordinance
Buyers of
properties in the Armory Park Historic District need to be
advised that a City of Tucson ordinance requires obtaining
approval prior to initiating any changes to the exterior of the
building and/or property, including roofs, walls, fences,
windows, doors, etc. This process must be followed whether or
not the proposed change requires a City of Tucson permit.
Brochures listing some of the guidelines for remodeling and
renovation are available at the Tucson Association of REALTORS®
. (The above process applies to all five historic districts –
Armory Park, Barrio Historico, El Presidio, Old Fort Lowell and
West University. Frank Podgorski can provide the contact names
for the other districts). Please contact Frank Podgorski,
837-4962, Sr. Planner, City of Tucson, or Nadine Rund, 622-5676
or Phyllis Factor, 623-8722, representatives of the Armory Park
